Roller Chains – ANSI, BS/DN, Anti-Corrosive and Attachment Types

Roller chains are important components and accessories in the whole conveyor belt system. They are used combined with roller sprockets as drive system to ensure the stable and smooth conveying and transmitting. We can supply all kinds of roller chains for you. ANSI roller chains

ASME/ANSI roller chains are most widely used and common seen type. It can be divided into standard roller chains and heavy duty roller chains. Standard roller chains are widely used in various common applications and industries while the heavy duty roller chains suit heavy duty applications needing high performance and loading capacity. Besides, we can supply the leaf chains and double pitch chains for different applications.

  • ANSI standard roller chains. RS 25 to RS 240 chains.
    It lasts up to twice as long as previous roller chains, which can maximumly reduce the maintenance cost. Additional, it improve about 33% transmission capacity than before, which supply more choice for equipment and conveying system.

  • Heavy duty chains.
    Heavy duty roller chains to suit the heavy duty industries, agriculture and constructions. It can supply stronger and higher performance to replace the standard roller chains. We can offer a series of super and ultra super chains to solve all your specific driving and conveying problems relating to loading capacity and lubrication.
    • Heavy series chains. Extra link plate thickness supplies 10% greater shock load absorbing capacity and extra pin length.
    • RS-T series chains. Greater shock load resistance and higher ultimate tensile strength through harden pins.
    • RS-HT series chains. 15–30% greater ultimate tensile strength and greater shocker load resistance because of the hardened pins and link plates of the next larger chain size.
    • Super series chains. 25–30% higher maximum allowable load than the standard roll chains. Greater fatigue strength and greater shock resistance.
    • Super H series chains. Highest maximum allowable load among all the heavy duty chains.
  • Leaf chains.
    Leaf chains have greater tensile strength than roller chains. They are most often used as counterweight chains for machine tools, elevator and oven doors, fork lift truck masts. It can be divided into AL series and BL series.
    • AL series. Older specs of leaf chains. Some of specs have been weeded out.
    • BL series. Replacement products of AL series leaf chains for higher performance and loading capacity.
  • Double pitch roller chains.
    • RS double pitch roller chains. Economical choice for low speed, moderate load and long center distance. Available for stainless steel, nickel plated steel and carbon steel.
    • Conveyor series. High quality conveying media for material handling equipment, road building machinery, textile machinery, farming implements, baking, packaging and bottling equipment.
    • Plastic sleeve chain. Engineering plastic sleeve between the pin and bushing can reduce friction and extend service life.

Anti-corrosive/heat resistant chains

  • Surface treatment.
    • NP chain. It means the chains are nickel plated treated to provide acceptable performance where equipment must operate in mildly corrosive environments.
    • DP chain. Chains are treated by DP process, which can improve the corrosion resistance performance in harsh outdoor environments, including seawater. Additional, it can provide an protective finish which has better corrosion resistance performance than the NP chains.
  • Anti-corrosive material – stainless steel chain.
    • 600 AS series. 304 SS link plate and hardened 600 series round parts supplies highest load capacity to accord with FDA regulations.
    • 304 SS series. Completely 304 stainless steel supplies excellent corrosion and extreme temperature resistance performance and non-magnetic performance.
    • 316 NS series. Most corrosion resistant standard chain type for highest temperature, corrosion resistance and best non-magnetic performance.
    • Poly-steel chains. Made of polyacetal inner links and 304 stainless steel pins and outer link plates. It can be used in both driving and conveying application.

Attachment chains

Two attachment roller chain: one is single side straight attachment and the other is double side straight attachment.
RCA-13: Single/double straight attachment – attachment roller chains.
Two attachment roller chain: one is single side bent attachment and the other is double side bent attachment.
RCA-14: Single/double bent attachment – attachment roller chains.

  • Standard attachment chains. Bent or straight type attachments on one or both sides of chains, extended pin and wide contour attachments. Available in carbon steel, NP, DP and stainless steel.
    • Single pitch attachment chains.
      • RS single pitch attachment chains. Addition of attachment can make the chains be adapted for conveying duties.
      • Single pitch conveyor lambda chain. Lube-free chains have little maintenance, longer wear life and increased operating temperature, longer life and reduce downtime.
      • Double pitch conveyor lambda chain. Similar to the single pitch conveyor lambda chain.
    • Double pitch attachment chains.
      • Standard double pitch attachment chains. Assembled chains and components for choice. And they can be spaced as desired upon request.
      • Double pitch chain with larger plastic roller. It offers smooth, quite operation and long wear life.
    • Hollow pin chain. Cross rods may be inserted into any link without disassembling the chain.
      • RS type hollow pin chain.
        • Single pitch hollow pin chain.
        • Double pitch hollow pin chain.
      • Hollow pin conveyor lambda chain.
        • Single pitch hollow pin lambda chain.
        • Double pitch hollow pin lambda chain.
    • Curved attachment chains. Additional clearance between the pins and bushing and between the roller links and pin link plates to permit extra flexibility and greater lateral displacement.
    • Plastic sleeve chains. The main characteristic of this chain is that it has an engineering plastic sleeve between the pin and bushing. The engineering plastic roller is also available in combination with the engineering plastic sleeve.
    • Lambda lube-free attachment chains.
      • Single pitch conveyor lambda chain.
      • Double pitch conveyor lambda chain.
      • Plastic top roller conveyor lambda chain.
      • Plastic outboard roller conveyor lambda chain.
      • Hollow pin conveyor lambda chain.
      • TN/TS top plate conveyor lambda chain.
    • BS/DIN chain series.
  • Specialty attachment chains.
    • Cross rod conveyor chain.

BS/DIN roller chain

These chains are manufactured to accord with International standards organization metric dimensions (ISO 606), British standard (BS 228) and DIN 8187. They are available in a variety of sizes and types and are ideal for use as replacement chains on imported equipment or new machinery manufactured for export.
